Thin Lizzy: Outlawed - The Real Phil Lynott

THIN LIZZY    OUTLAWED  The Real Phil Lynott Story

This is a fascinating and massively entertaining account of the life of Phil Lynott; a man whose talent is hailed universally but whose early life of poverty is less well documented. The programme seeks to address, with marked success, some of the unanswered questions. We're treated to a rare insight and even rarer interview by his mother Philomena, who speaks fondly of her famous son, ranging from her trauma in the early years to the devastation of finding him close to death just 37 years later; the revelations are incredibly moving and remarkably informative. Also featured on this amazing DVD are interviews by fellow band members Eric Bell and Brian Robertson and more, plus an interview with long time friend George Best; an interview that would sadly prove to be his last! All this plus footage including the first ever release of their performance from Dublin's National Stadium in 1975 plus a bonus of rare and previously unseen Lizzy film. The title is completed by a pulsating CD containing 10 rare performance tracks with Phil's new band "Grand Slam" who went on to find their own group of followers, but whose expanding popularity was never to transform into a recording contract. The Doctors - 30 Years Of Time Travel And Beyond [1995]
The Doctors - 30 Years Of Time Travel And Beyond [1995]

The Doctors: 30 Years of Time Travel and Beyond has production values far removed from the exceptionally well presented official BBC Doctor Who titles. The only extra is 12 minutes of silent colour location filming footage of very variable quality, selections from which are included in the main programme. In the documentary itself the sound is perfectly acceptable mono. Unfortunately the picture appears to have been transferred from a damaged video master and there is an almost constant horizontal tearing across the centre of the screen, varying from slight but noticeable to so extreme it makes the feature all but unwatchable. The packaging incorrectly names the director as Bill Braggs and describes the programme as giving an insight into "the design of the Ice Warrior and Cybermen models" featured in the last series. It doesn't.--Gary S. Dalkin DVD Description Special Features Rare behind the scenes home movie footage taken from film adventures 'The Smugglers', 'The Abominable Snowman', The Demons' and the unfinished Tom Baker story 'Shada'. Unique collection of unpublished photographs spanning oll of the 7 doctors. An insight into the methods used in the design of the ice warrior and cybermen models, all featured in the last series. Interviews with senior production personnel such as director David Maloney, producer Philip Hinchcliffe and former BBC head of serials and drama Shaun Sutton.

It tracks his life from cradle to grave; from his introduction to the London music scene by his new manager, Animals bassist, Chas Chandler, to the premonition of his death.

In 1947, a spacecraft crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. Three aliens survived and were subject to an autopsy which was recorded on film by a United States Army cameraman - and hidden by the US government for nearly 50 years until it was discovered by Ray Santilli and Gary Shoefield. Or was it? When it was first seen, the Alien Autopsy footage created a storm of sensation around the world and, for over a decade, has caused furious international debate.

This incredible story, that inspired the box office hit Ant and Dec film Alien Autopsy, is investigated by Eamonn Holmes. Was the film that Santilli and Shoefield found authentic or was it made in 1995? If so, who made it? This programme uncovers the truth for the first time, with exclusive interviews with Ray Santilli and Gary Shoefield, the man that made the "alien" and the mysterious figure behind the window. It finds the London flat where it was filmed, tells where the bodies were buried and talks to the butcher who supplied the body parts!

Finally, the truth is exposed, and this DVD is the perfect companion to the Warner Bros film, telling the REAL story behind the blockbuster film.

George Harrison was the youngest member of the world famous group The Beatles. A man of many contradictions, he was known as 'the quiet one', although Monty Python's Eric Idle once remarked, George never stopped talking. This programme explores his complex nature and his life journey with interviews with those that were close to him, and using rare film footage we examine his undoubted musical talent, his time with The Beatles, and his long held spiritual beliefs that were a comfort to him untill his untimely death, at just 58.
